Black Fox Edit was founded by author Louise Wareham Leonard. Her two novels are Since You Ask (Akashic Books, New York, 2004) and Miss Me A Lot Of (Victoria University Press, New Zealand, 2007.) Since You Ask won America's James Jones Literary Society Award for Best First Novel and Miss Me A Lot Of was short-listed for the 2008 Prize in Modern Letters. Both novels have been optioned for film. Her third book, a hybrid work of creative non-fiction is represented by Toby Eady Associates. tobyeadyassociates.co.uk/  

Louise's work is most often praised for its control, intensity and plotting. An experienced mentor with a loyal clientele, she has a BA from Columbia College in New York City and an MA with Distinction from Victoria University and is currently an MFA Candidate at the Vermont College at Vermont College of Fine Arts.  She is a highly experienced workshop facilitator, teaching both experimental and traditional fiction. Her literary publishing credits include Poetry, Hotel Amerika, QuarterAfterEight.  Her non-fiction has appeared in Gargoyle and Art Monthly Australia. She is a reader for Tin House and a regional representative for American Reader.

Louise is a member of She Writes and the Association of Writers and Writing Programs. She currently teaches at Writers and Books in Rochester, New York.
